First Night
It was really cold in the room. Good thing that I brought my jacket but still its really cold in the conference room. I have taken my lunch at McDonalds. One good thing here is that the drinks (coffee, soft drinks, Milo, iced tea) at Trend Micro are free! I tried not to get sleepy throughout the day. As I went back home that's when I already feel sleepy. Right now I'm really really worried that I don't pass the training. I don't want to disappoint my parents and I don't want to be bum again. We have no holidays by the way. So we will be having work on November 1 and 2. Really tiring isn't it?

Good Or Bad
Only 4 have survived the screening process. And one of them is me. Of course I was nervous that time, to think that it will be a panel interview. The first person (male) is interviewed by 2 people (1 boy and 1 girl). He is already working as a Technical Support Representative. The second one (female) was interviewed by 2 people (1 boy and 1 girl). And the third one (female) was interviewed by 3 people (2 boys and 1 girl). Yes I was the last one to be interviewed. And guess what there's another addition to the group of interviewer. So all in all there are 4 persons in front of me (3 boys and 1 girl)!
At first I'm alright in answering the questions. But then there came a time that I wasn't able to express what I wanted to answer. That's when I have accepted that I will not pass the interview. My performance was really really poor. I'm really nervous and I'm really ashamed to them. I think that they're laughing at me. Because of my answer. Here are some answers that I said to them. I said that I like Anime and Koreanovelas (they laughed at it). Another is that I'm desperate to have a work. I also encountered wrong grammars. I left the room with shame on myself. I feel like I'm really down in front of them. So that's what happened this afternoon.
After that we were asked to wait for the result. I expected that I will fail in the final interview. The 2 of us where called first. And then after a minute me and the other girl has been called. I was really surprised about the result! They're giving me a job offer! How? Why? I really don't know why they'd chose me instead of the other guy which is really deserving because he has experience. I was really shock that time. The job offer was supposed to be after the result was given but the head was not around so it has been moved tomorrow at 10:00AM.
Right now I still can't believe why did they chose me. I am planning to accept the job offer tomorrow. But I'm really afraid that they might expect something from me. I really admit that I'm not that good in English. I have asked my cousin (a Psychology graduate) about the decision that has been made by those team leaders who interviewed me. She said that sometimes it happens. She thinks that they like my personality. Showing my true self in front of them.
I must say that I'm the kind of person that always think that I cannot accomplish or do something. Like right now. I'm afraid that I might disappoint them. I think that I will not be able to pass the training or be a good Technical Support Engineer. That's one of my weakness. Lack of self confidence. Finally I have a job but do I deserve this? I really hope so. I'll just try my best. God has given me this opportunity and I think its his plan. Thank God.

Jumong Ends
The story is really interesting. The actors and actresses did a job well done in portraying their roles. The scenery in Korea is also great. For more information about this Korean Drama click here.

Our New Kittens
This is the second time our cat gave birth. In her first pregnancy she gave birth with 3 kittens but two of them died. The remaining one has survived and is now living with my relatives. Like her first kittens, the kittens she gave birth now are really small. I think they're premature. I really hope that the two remaining kittens survive. Sorry I can't provide any pictures of them because they are hiding in a dark place and I can't take a picture because it will be too dark.

Mission Envelope
Mission Envelopes
I remember in my school days, we are given these Mission envelopes everyday. And sometimes contests about this are being held in our classroom. Hehehe. Our classroom is divided into 2 groups and we have to contribute money for our group. The group with the most money wins. All proceeds are for the missionaries.

Superman Returns
Superman Returns is a 2006 superhero film based on the fictional DC Comics character Superman. It was directed by Bryan Singer and stars Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth and Kevin Spacey. The screenplay was written by Michael Dougherty & Dan Harris, based on a story by Bryan Singer, Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty.
The film begins as we learn that Superman has been missing for five years. He has traveled to where astronomers believed they had discovered the remains of Krypton. Then Superman returns to Earth, crashing back into his adoptive mother's crop field in a craft like the one that delivered the baby Kal-El. He awakes the next morning reminiscing about his childhood. He returns to the The Daily Planet and his life as Clark Kent in Metropolis. He learns Lois Lane is now a mother and has won the Pulitzer Prize for her article Why the World Doesn't Need Superman.
For more info about this movie click here. This new Superman movie has really improved since the old Superman movies. Great visual effects and also a great story. One thing that bothers me is about Jason (son of Lois Lane). Is Superman his father? How did that happened? Oh well better search about this in the internet.

1408
Last Saturday I have bought 3 DVD movies at Plaza Fair Makati. One of it was 1408. I was lucky that I have got a clear copy of this movie. And yeah it is a horror movie. The movie was really good with its effects and the story itself.
1408 is a 2007 film based on the Stephen King short story of the same name directed by Swedish film director Mikael Håfström. The cast includes John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson, and Mary McCormack. The film was released in the US on June 22, 2007 although July 13th is mentioned as the release date in the trailer posted on the website. The film has been rated PG-13 in the USA for thematic material including disturbing sequences of violence and terror, and frightening images.
Author Mike Enslin's (Cusack) search for the supernatural has come up empty and as a result he's resorted to writing books in which he falsely claims to have had supernatural experiences. Despite the writing of these books his personal belief in the supernatural is far more skeptical. His latest research subject for these books is a hotel room in New York City with an ominous past. In his determination to prove the room is not haunted, Enslin may have stumbled into a real-life horror story.
Sad to say that I have bought the DVD with the alternate ending (bad ending) where John Cusack's character died. He survived in the original movie. The movie is a bit complicated with some twist in the story but I recommend watching this movie. I enjoyed watching it. For more info go here.

Accomplishment

I really believe that going to mass is a part of every Christians life. I think each and everyone of us should spend time with God. It's only one day and only one hour to be with Him and yet we managed to ignore an opportunity to reflect, thank Him and repent our sins.

Today's mass is an accomplishment for me. I'm really happy that today would be my 1 year in attending mass every Sunday without absences. And I wish that I could continue it for the rest of my life!

Battle Of The Game Shows
On the left corner comes the partnership between ABS-CBN and Endemol. Endemol is also a famous company that provides different reality shows including Big Brother and Fear Factor. Here are the shows that ABS-CBN and Edemol currently offers to their audiences:
Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal is the Philippine franchise of Deal or No Deal, hosted by former Pilipinas, Game KNB? host, Kris Aquino, which premiered on June 5, 2006 on ABS-CBN. The smallest prize has always been PHP1 (about 2¢ US, €0.01, 1p, and ¥2), but the grand prize used to be PHP2,000,000 (about US$42,000, €31,000, £21,000, and ¥5,000,000). On New Year's Day, 2007, the show's top prize became P4,000,000 (about US$84,000, €62,000, £42,000, and ¥10,000,000) but it was lowered to PHP3,000,000 for the second season. The game show's tag line is "Ang Kapalaran mo, Desisyon Mo" which in turn translates in English as "Your Fate, Your Decision.". The Philippine version is very similar to the U.S. version of Deal or No Deal (including the logo), except for the sounds and musical scoring which were adapted from the Dutch version. Before the game proper begins, a third party randomly places the possible amount of prize in the briefcases, which are distributed to 26 models called the 26K (identically dressed without wigs -- US style) who reveal the contents during the game. No one, including the host, knows what amounts are in the cases. Each contestant receives a new, randomly assigned set of cases. The prizes range in amounts from PHP1 to PHP3,000,000. More info here.
The Philippine version of 1 vs. 100 was first aired on ABS-CBN on August 25, 2007. It is hosted by veteran Filipino quiz host Edu Manzano, from Pilipinas, Game KNB?, and Weakest Link. A single player (The One) goes up against 100 other contestants (The Mob). The One gains money for each mob member eliminated, but if the One answers incorrectly at any point of the game, the game ends and he or she leaves with nothing. The grand prize of the show is P2,000,000. The program is the fourth franchise the network acquired from its creator Endemol and it is also the most expensive, due to the studio's sheer size to accommodate the Mob. The Philippine version is similar to the US format and the new European format used in Italy and France. Contestants are given a question with three possible answers. After answering a question correctly, any mob members answered the question incorrectly is eliminated from the game. Players add a specific amount to their bank for every member of the mob they eliminate on a particular question (See table, left). If after any correct answer the entire mob members has been eliminated, the contestant wins the top prize of P2,000,000. More info here.
Pinoy Big Brother is the Philippine version of the reality television show Big Brother (the word Pinoy is a colloquial term for Filipino). It follows the same premise as its many foreign counterparts around the world: twelve Philippine residents are forced to live with each other inside a house for about 100 days (extended to another 12 days for the first season due to inefficient scheduling of nomination and eviction of housemates in the first week). It is shown on ABS-CBN Channel 2 and its international affiliate, The Filipino Channel, with snippets shown on local affiliate Studio 23. The uncut 24/7 version of the series can also be seen on the internet through streaming video and a special cable channel provided by ABS-CBN-owned cable TV provider, SkyCable. The elimination process in the show is the reverse of the original Dutch format. At the start of the elimination process, the "housemates" (as the contestants are referred to) vote for which two (sometimes more if there are ties) fellow housemates they should eliminate. More info here.
Pinoy Dream Academy (also known as PDA) is the Philippine version of Endemol's Star Academy. The format is similar to Big Brother, where 16, later 20, finalists (billed as "scholars" throughout the series) will live inside the Academy for four months and will be trained by guest teachers to be multimedia performers. Activities in the Academy will be monitored 24/7 by the headmaster. More info here.
ABS-CBN has also its own produced game show which is Pilipinas, Game KNB? It is a former primetime game show and now currently noontime game show broadcast by ABS-CBN in the Philippines. It is hosted by actor-politician Edu Manzano, but the incarnations of the show was hosted by Kris Aquino. The KNB in the title is derived from Filipino SMS language wherein the words "ka" "na" and "ba" are shortened to single letters as they are originally pronounced in the Filipino alphabet (letters are currently pronounced like their English counterparts). Its theme music (and its incarnations) sounds like a ringtone, also influenced by the use of cellphones in the Philippines. More info here.
Those are some of the game shows that are being aired by ABS-CBN which a lot of people are really in to right now. Now lets go to the next contestant.
On the right corner comes the partnership between GMA7 and Fremantle Media! We've known Fremantle Media in providing quality reality game shows around the world of entertainment. Their shows includes the famous American Idol and some other reality shows. Know that their here to capture the hearts of Filipino audiences Fremantle Media has now different shows to offer here in the Philippines through GMA7. Hmmmmm. Looks like GMA7 is now aiming on the different game shows of ABS-CBN. Their new shows includes the following:
Whammy: Push Your Luck is the updated, faster paced version of the game show "Press Your Luck." Just like the classic version, three players vie for big bucks and fabulous prizes on a giant electronic game board as they try to avoid the dreaded Whammy. The show has already started today. Paolo Bediones together with the sexy comedienne Ruffa Mae Quinto host the show. Gameplay remained largely the same, and the Whammy took away the winnings of any contestant who landed on it. However, there were some differences between the two shows. Whammy! took away the first question round on Press Your Luck and went straight to the first "Big Board" round, with a few modifications. Contestants started at the game board. Play passed repeatedly down the line of contestants, each taking one spin, for an unlimited number of rounds. This went on until each contestant had either landed on a Whammy, or chosen to stop by "freezing". Each contestant was given $1,000 to start the show (in the first two taped episodes of the first season, they started at $0). Play started with four Whammies on the board and after each round through the contestants, four more are added. More info here.
Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5? is the Philippine version of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? when GMA Network acquired rights to the game show from Fox Broadcasting Company and Fremantle Media which is a phenomenal hit in the United States. It is scheduled to air on October 27, 2007. This is a new quiz show hosted by Janno Gibbs. And I guess it will replace Celebrity Duets also from Fremantle Media. Each game is played by a single contestant who earns money incrementally based on a payout ladder by answering trivia questions, with the game themed as a school test. The contestant is presented with ten school subject categories, with two questions at each grade level from first to fifth; the subjects are changed for each game. The contestant chooses whichever category they wish and is asked a question purportedly taken from a school textbook for the grade level of the particular question. Some questions are multiple choice or true/false; others require the contestant to answer without any options. More info here.
Celebrity Duets Philippine Edition is GMA Network's interactive reality game show jointly hosted by singer-comedian Ogie Alcasid and singer-actress, Asia's Songbird, Regine Velasquez. This is a franchise from Fremantle Media and the Philippine version of Simon Cowell's Celebrity Duets. It is a progressive game-show type, which will be played by famous personalities of different backgrounds and different fields in our industry who knows how to sing, who will be singing with different professional singers in a weekly elimination competition and try to influence the votes of the viewers. The winner will get to choose a charity of his/her choice and donate in whole or in part of one million pesos. More info here.
Philippine Idol is the franchise of the Idol series in the Philippines. The franchise was awarded by Fremantle Media, 19 Entertainment and CKX, Inc. first to the Associated Broadcasting Company (ABC) in 2006. Just like the premise of the original show Pop Idol, Philippine Idol aims to find the best young singer in the country. And know the Season 2 of Philippine Idol will be aired by GMA7 soon. Local television personality Ryan Agoncillo is the host of the program.[2] Ryan Cayabyab (musical composer), Pilita Corrales (singer, known as Asia's Queen of Songs) and Francis Magalona (rapper and producer) are the judges of the show. Agoncillo, Corrales and Magalona auditioned to be a part of the program, while Cayabyab was chosen by the program's producers. [3] Actress Heart Evangelista hosts the daily updates program, I ♥ Philippine Idol. Composer Mel Villena is the musical director beginning at the semifinal round. In the first season, Mau Marcelo of Lucena City defeated two other contenders at the finale to become the first Philippine Idol. A second season is currently in the works. The second season will air on February 2008 on GMA. More info here.
GMA7 has also produced its very own new game show along with K! The One Million Peso Videoke Challenge and Tok! Tok! Tok! Isang Milyon Pasok!. Its called Send O Save which will be hosted by Ariel And Maverick a comedy duo known for their ABC5 Show The Adventures Of Ariel And Maverick.
Here Are The Lists Of Fights.
Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal VS. Whammy: Push Your Luck
1 Vs 100 VS. Kakasa Ka Ba Sa Grade 5?
Philippine Idol Season 2 VS. Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2
Pilipinas,Game KNB? VS. Send O Save
Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition VS. StarStruck The Star Explosion
This is really a though fight between the two leading tv stations here in the Philippines and with the leading international franchises. I'm not sure with the latter because I've just saw it in the StartStruck Wikipedia page. I've also known that a Philippine Edition of Family Feud is in line in GMA7. I must say that I'm a Kapuso (in favor of GMA7) but I also watch Pilipinas, Game KNB? and sometimes Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal.

Will To Win
Paquiao Really Has His Will To Win!
At first I'm not really sure if he's gonna win but I'm happy that he won. I'm sure a lot of Filipinos around the world are proud of Manny Paquiao our Pambansang Kamao!
According to GMANews.TV this will be the last fight of Marco Antonio Barrera because he will now off to retirement. To bad he didn't win his last fight.
Did you know that Manny Paquiao is the only Pinoy in WBC international super featherweight list. Britons, South Africans, and Indonesians have dominated the World Boxing Council international super featherweight title since 1987, according to a list posted by Saddoboxing. Manny Pacquiao, who's making his third defense of the title, against Jorge Solis, on April 14 in Texas, is the only Filipino so far to make it in the WBC list.
Again I congratulate Manny Paquiao for doing great job! We are really proud of you. I hope that you'll do better again in your future fights and make us Filipinos number one in the world of boxing! Hehe.

I'm Tired
I was really nervous the day before because I thought that yesterday was Wednesday and I just realized that that yesterday was Thursday when I have seen Magpakailanman in GMA7. I was shocked because I was'nt prepared for it. I'm also thinking of not attending the panel interview because I think I will not pass it and waste my time and money going there. But I have to try my luck. So I went there this afternoon. Bahala na si Batman! Hehehe.
I was told already about what the panel interview's gonna be when I had my initial interview. We were 5 applicants to undergo the panel interview and I was the last person who came but I'm not late! So the interview started in a conference room. Again we were 5 applicants and there are 4 panelists. The panelists consists of the HR manager and some directors of the company. I'm really nervous at that time but as time goes by I became comfortable talking and answering the questions of the panelists. I admit that I had few errors in speaking in English but I think that the interview is ok. Most of the questions about ourselves, our educational background and other things about us. They had offered us drinks and cookies to eat while the interview is going on. They are really accommodating and they made us comfortable. Thank God that its not a technical interview. The only problem there is that its really cold in their office.
We have finished the interview at 4:30, I think and they let us wait for the reception area for the results because they will do the deliberation. I was the first one who is being called by one of the HR and she told me that the panel interview went well according to the bosses. She told me that I was on the waiting list and I have to wait until next week until the last batch of panel interview is done. There are only 5 slots left in the Developer Trainee position. I hope I passed this one. I really need a job. I have a pending application with Trend Micro as a Technical Support. I think I will accept the which job offer will come first. It will be between Trend Micro and dB Wizards.
dB Wizards is a company that is affiliated with Microsoft Corporation. They offer training and also Microsoft Certification exams. I think its great to work there. For more information regarding this company visit their website. That's all for now. I'm really tired.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse
Resident Evil is a survival horror video game by Capcom. It can be played in some of the PlayStation consoles. And I have played Resident Evil 1 and 2. Its like the Silent Hill game but Silent Hill is more scarier. In this game you'll have to survive by killing zombies and solving puzzles. It's scary in a way that zombies my come out anywhere!
The Resident Evil movie is based on the game but has a different story and different lead characters. For more info on the first movie click here. Alice played by Mila Jovovich is the lead female character in the movie. Resident Evil: Apocalypse is released last 2004 and some of the characters in the Resident Evil game where introduced in this movie. Like Jill Valentine who is the lead character in Resident Evil 1 and Resident Evil Nemesis. Other characters also have their counterpart in the game. More info for Resident Evil: Apocalypse here.
I really recommend all of you to watch these movies because its really great and exciting. The effects are superb and the story is quite interesting. The third installment of the movie which is Resident Evil: Extinction is now showing. And Mila Jovovich is also the lead character here. I want to watch this movie. I heard that this will be the last sequel but there are also other speculations of creating a fourth movie.
