Couple Or Trouble

I really enjoy watching Asianovelas. As you can see on my profile. Hehehe. I became a fan of Asianovelas since the Meteor Garden wave. And fell in love with Korean Dramas since the first Endless Love series which is Autumn In My Heart. I really enjoy watching Korean dramas and movies because its really interesting. The characters are handsome and beautiful. The story is not that long compared to our Telenovelas which airs for months and even a year! Korean dramas shows their different cultures and also the great sceneries of the places in Korea.

Right now I'm watching GMA7's new Koreanovela entitled Couple Or Trouble which started airing last Monday and airs every weekday right after Kung Mahawi Man Ang Ulap and before one of my favorite Anime SlamDunk. It's a romantic comedy like one of my favorite Kdrama series Full House. I was really curious about the story because GMA7 always plug this drama and the teaser is really funny. I will provide a little information about this Kdrama series.

Oh Ji Ho, Han Ye Seul And Kim Sung Min

Couple Or Trouble is also known as Fantasy Couple. It was broadcast in the last quarter of 2006 in Korea by MBC and has only 16 episodes (1 hour per episode). This series is based on the 1987 American movie Overboard. Anna Jo (Han Ye Seul) is a rude, feisty, and audacious American-bred heiress who can never be satisfied. She returns to Korea only to continue being a controlling wife to her already cowardly husband, Billy Park (Kim Sung Min). When her yacht gets stuck for repairs, she hires local handyman Jang Chul Soo (Oh Ji Ho) to fix her shower, but when they have a heated spat over her dissatisfaction and non payment, she pushes him overboard and dunks his tools into the ocean right along with him. Later, after a quarrel with Billy that threatens to end their marriage, she herself gets drunkenly pitched overboard and falls victim to a bad case of amnesia.

Which I think the start of the trouble between the two lead characters. For more info on this Kdrama series click here. I have already missed 2 episodes in GMA7 because I've been out looking for a job this past few days, so I'll try to find free video episodes of this series online because it was being removed by CrunchyRoll due to license issues. Another Korean drama I am watching right now is Jumong which will end this October on GMA7!

Is Too Much Water Dangerous

I will never forget what happened to me last night. Yesterday I got sick. I don't want to be sick because I have to apply for a job this morning together with my college classmates. I'm really afraid of what happened last night.

I have known that to much water intake will give you a healthier life. Some says that drinking a lot of water will lessen your sickness and that's what I did. Stupid me! I really wanted to go this morning and I want to get well. I thought that drinking too much water will refreshen and cleanse my body but it didn't. I really don't know why did I do it. While watching Marimar I started to drink a glass of water every 15 minutes until the end of Jumong because I thought that it will help me to get well. I also take paracetamol. And then after Jumong my sickness is gone but my head hurts. I've got headache. It really hurts and hurts even more when I lay down and tried to sleep. I try to take Advil but it has no effect. All I want is to sleep so that it will be gone but I can't sleep. I feel like I'm going to vomit because I feel that theres air in my stomach that wants to go out. So I try to vomit and after vomitting some water that I have drunk my headache disappear. I've put Katinko on my chest, stomach and back so that I will be more comfortable while sleeping.

I wanted to know what happened to me last night so I have searched the internet and found this news on the BBC News website. It says...

A Californian woman has died after taking part in a water-drinking contest, but why is too much water dangerous?

We are regularly advised to drink more water: it clears skin, reduces tiredness and aids concentration.

But the death of a woman in the US after taking part in a water-drinking contest shows you can have too much of a good thing.

Jennifer Strange had taken part in the "Hold Your Wee for a Wii" game, which promised the winner a Nintendo Wii. Afterwards she reportedly said her head was hurting and went home, where she was later found dead. Initial tests have shown her death is consistent with water intoxication.

Drinking too much water can eventually cause your brain to swell, stopping it regulating vital functions such as breathing, and causing death. So what happens?

Water enters the body when we drink and is removed primarily in the urine and sweat. The amount of water in the body is regulated to control the levels of certain compounds, such as salt, in the blood.

If you drink too much water, eventually the kidneys will not be able to work fast enough to remove sufficient amounts from the body, so the blood becomes more dilute with low salt concentrations.

"If you drink too much water it lowers the concentration of salt in your blood so that it is lower than the concentration of salt in cells," says Professor Robert Forrest, a consultant in clinical chemistry and forensic toxicology at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield.

The water then moves from the dilute blood to the cells and organs where there is less water. Professor Forrest likens this to the effects seen in science-class experiments.

Anthony Andrews
Actor Anthony Andrews was treated for water intoxication in 2003
"If you put salty water on onion skin the cells will shrink, if you put too much water on it the cells will swell," he says.

This swelling is a problem in the brain.

"When the brain swells, it is inside a bony box so has nowhere to go," he says. "The pressure increases in the skull and you may get a headache. As the brain is squeezed it compresses vital regions regulating functions such as breathing."

Eventually these functions will be impaired and you are likely to stop breathing and die. Warning signs included confusion and headaches...

For the complete article go here. Whew! I really thank God that that didn't happened to me. I'm really nervous at that time a lot of things came into my mind like what if I have cancer or other serious diseases. One of my fear is being confined in a hospital. I really don't like injections. Hahaha. Right now I'm afraid to drink a glass of water. Hehehe. I just drink a small glass of water to be sure that it will not happen again. Another weapon of mine is prayer.

High School Musical

High School Musical is one of my favorite Disney movies. Actually my youngest brother used to watch it when it was first released on Disney Channel last June 25, 2006. At first I just ignored it. My youngest brother always watched it, he even asked for a DVD and play it for almost everyday. So I decided to watch it and became a fan since then. I have High School Musical mp3's on my ASUS V66 and always listen to it! Hehehe! The story is quite good and I really like the songs in the movie.

High School Musical casts includes Vanessa Hudgens as Gabriella Montez, Zac Efron as Troy Bolton, Ashley Tisdale as Sharpay Evans, Lucas Grabeel as Ryan Evans, Corbin Bleu as Chad Danforth and Nicole Coleman as Taylor McKessie. They are all talented not only in dancing but also in singing and acting too.

High School Musical Soundtrack

What I've Been Looking For (Reprise) *

High School Musical 2 is the sequel to the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical. It debuted on September 9, 2007 here in the Philippines and other parts of Asia except Taiwan.

The symbol * means that I like the song. I'm looking forward to the third movie of High School Musical. I heard that its gonna be shown on the big screen. I also hope that Disney Channel will not remove Vanessa Hudgens on the third installment of HSM because of her naked pictures in the internet. Vanessa Hudgens plays Gabriella Montez in the movie. She is half Filipina and I'm proud of her. I hope she learned her lesson and will not do something bad again that will probably ruin her career.

Independent Princess

I have watched KC Concepcion's TV Special entitled "KC - From Paris To Pinas" last Sunday night at ABS-CBN. I was really amazed by her personality. And I kinda adore her now. She's really a kindhearted and a down to earth person.

At first I think that KC is not like that because of the fact that she is rich and also a famous person because of her mother Sharon Cuneta. But those impressions have changed when I watched her documentary last Sunday night.

Maria Kristina Cassandra Concepcion is her real name and was born on April 7, 1985. We're at the same age. She is the daughter of Sharon Cuneta and actor Gabby Concepcion. As a young girl she auditioned in different theater shows. She also became a model and an endorser of different products. She spent her college at the American University of Paris and graduated last August 2007 with a degree of B.A. in International Corporate Communications with a minor in Theater Arts.

I never imagined her living alone. Without yayas and stuff. Like doing household chores by herself. But she did it. She proved that a girl like her can stand on her own feet. She's really a true person. She's nice, friendly, caring and also a funny person! She's not maarte that some people may think. A side from being pretty she is also a talented and a smart person.

I must say that I have already seen her in person. It was when I was in third year college at Adamson University taking up Computer Science. We have a class every Saturday. There was a time that me and few of my friends decided to go to our department to look for our professor because she's very late. When we enter the SV (St. Vincent De Paul) building there we saw a lot of filming equipments. The Computer Science Department was on the second floor of the building but when we got there the hallway was blocked by a big plywood we can't see on the other side. So we have to go to the third floor of the building to get to the other side staircase. When we're walking on the third floor there was this girl wearing a bandanna. She pass us and then went to the girls comfort room. At first I didn't notice that it was KC. At the end of the hallway we saw a famous hairstylist named Fanny Serrano. The stairs on the other side is also not accessible so we decided to go back and tell our classmates about it. Then I saw KC Concepcion she's just a small person. But she really is beautiful. Few weeks later I saw her in Palmolive Shampoo commercial and I realized that it was taken on the second floor of SV building in Adamson University.

I bet her parents are really proud of her and I think that she's gonna be a superstar! Hehehe! I wish her all the best. You can visit her Multiply here!

Zaido A Sequel Of Shaider

Shaider is one of my favorite metal hero shows way back in 1990's. I was a fan of it along with other Japan produced sci-fi action shows like Maskman, Bioman, Ultraman, Machine Man and Mask Rider Black. I remember watching it in IBC13 every Saturday at around 6:00PM after watching Sailormoon at ABC5.

Shaider With His Blue Hawk

Shaider is about Dai Sawamura (Alexis Del Mundo in the Philippines) played by Hiroshi Tsuburaya, an archeologist who deciphered the figures on the Nazca Plain. The Galactic Union Police recruited and trained him to be the earth's third space sheriff in recent years. He was named after Shaider, the ancient hero who destroyed and defeated the Fuuma 12,000 years ago, he teamed with Annie played by Naomi Morinaga to stop Fuuma.

GMA7 will now air Zaido : Pulis Pangkalawakan (Zaido : Space Police). Originally, GMA7 had approached TOEI Company Ltd. with plans for a remake of Shaider, however their script was rejected and TOEI Company Ltd. instead gave them permission to produce an original series featuring the descendants of the characters in Shaider.

It features Dennis Trillo as the Blue Zaido, Marky Cielo as the Green Zaido and Aljur Abrenica as the Red Zaido. This will be aired on Monday, September 24, 2007 replacing the top rating Impostora.

I really do hope that GMA7 will not rip this new telefantasya because a lot of Pilipino viewers are a fan of Shaider. And to think that Shaider is from Japan which produces quality special effects for its series, GMA7 should do their best to impress their viewers and TOEI Company Ltd. which granted them to air a sequel of Shaider.

Vacation 2007

Hello guys! Just want to share to you some moments I've spent at my mother's hometown province Lamtoc, Siaton, Negros Oriental, Philippines. This was last June 26, 2007 to July 05, 2007.

Its been a long time since my last visit there. I think I was in grade 3 when I last visited our province. So I'm really excited to see my grandparents, my cousins which I have never met before, the beautiful sceneries, peaceful nature and my favorite place the ilog or river.

I'm really lucky because I was able to go back there. I don't have a job so I decided to go. Hehe. My brothers didn't get a chance to join us because of their school classes. But my father is with me. This vacation happened because my Auntie Ope and cousins Lora and Kervy are now going to Canada and will gonna be living there with my Uncle Rod and cousin Marnelli. They like to visit our province and meet our cousins before they leave the Philippines.

Did you know that it was my first time to ride an airplane? But I'm not really nervous about it. In fact I want to sit next to the window but my father don't want to exchange sits with me! We've waited 1/2 to 2 hours before we arrived at our destination Dumaguete Airport.

Lamtoc, Siaton, Negros Oriental

It was hard for me and my cousins to adapt to a new environment. We're lucky because there is now electricity in our grandparents house. There's also a TV and also a DVD player. People there sleep at around 6:00PM to 7:00PM. They wake up at around 6:00AM. We don't know why but we are waking up at 6:00AM even though we're still sleepy.

Some Animal Friends

When we don't have anything to do we just watch a DVD movies. Sometimes go to the river and look for phone signal. Yes there is no phone signal in Lamtoc. You just have to go to the river to send and recieve text messages or make a call.

Doing Nothing

Two Tuko (Giant Lizard?) Always Visits Our House Every Night! Yay!

We always take a bath in the river. Hahaha! That's why I was so dark when I got back here in Manila! Hehe!

The Ilog

Habal-Habal

Habal-Habal is one of the common transportation means in Siaton. It is a motorcycle that has a customized extended back seats. I think a Habal-Habal can carry at least 7 to 8 people.

We also went to one of the tourist attractions in Siaton, Negros Oriental. The Balanan Lake. Its fun going there because I was able to ride a Habal-Habal. I was on the back of it and I really enjoy it a lot because I saw the different scenery of Negros.

Balanan Lake

I really enjoy this vacation. I want to come back there soon. I miss my Lolo and Lola, my cousins and the way of living there. I have to get a job so that I can come back there next year! Hopefully.

The Streets Of Silent Hill

Ever imagined walking in a town all by your self in the middle of the night? For me its really scary to walk alone in the middle of the night. So dark and the only thing you could hear are your footsteps or maybe the wind or other creatures lurking around. You have to find someone who could help you get out of this nightmare. You don't know where to go.

I have already experience this. Hehe. Through PlayStation and my PC. Yes I have experienced walking in a place that is called Silent Hill. For those who really don't know about it. It's a computer game. A survival horror game which means that you have to survive fighting monsters, solving puzzles and running through the streets of Silent Hill. For me this game is one of the scariest games I've ever played so far, other than the famous zombie killing game Resident Evil.

I really like anything about horror. I'm interested in horror stories, horror movies, etc. So I decided to play Silent Hill. I have played the first Silent Hill in our PlayStation 1. I don't want to play it alone cause its really scary. There are scenes that will make you jump out of your sits or even throw the joystick. Haha!

I've also watch the Silent Hill Movie. The movie is based on Silent Hill 1 game but the main character is a female instead of a male. It was confirmed that they will be making Silent Hill 2 movie.

Video From Silent Hill 1

Video From Silent Hill 2

I really don't play it alone. I just play it when my younger brother will watch me play it or there are a lot of people around me. Hahaha. I also turn down the volume of the sounds because the background music is really creepy. Above are some videos of Silent Hill 1 and 2.

I Love My Asus V66

Yeah Asus V66 is my mobile phone. I have been using it for about a year now. I bought my Asus V66 last year, July 15, 2006. This phone was released in 2005 and it was at its lowest price when I bought it. I bought it for only Php 8,400.00 which includes a membership fee from Wellcom Telecom Supermarket (official dealer of Asus mobile phones in the Philippines) at SM Manila. My friend told me about it. And I was amazed of its great features and its affordable price. So decided to buy it. That's when I still have a job back then.

Here are some of the reasons why I really love my Asus V66 and why it can be compared to other cellphone brands that have high prices.
  • First is that it has an affordable price. I think it was around Php 10,000.00 to 15,000.00 pesos when it was first realease in the market. Really affordable compare to Nokia phones that has only few features.
  • Its display type is TFT, 262K colors and has a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, 1.8 inches.
  • You can have polyphonic ringtones and MP3 for caller ringtones.
  • It has a built in 62MB built-in memory and can handle of up to 1GB miniSD Card. Very large storage!
  • Its sad that it has only USB connectivity. It doesnt have infrared or bluetooth. But still, it rocks! You can use your phone like a flash disk.
  • Messaging includes SMS, MMS, EMS and Email. You can also browse WAP sites.
  • It has a built in 0.3M pixel digital camera that can take pictures of up to 640 x 480. The camera has multi-shot, nightmode, capture timer and built-in effects.
  • You can also record videos with unlimited time depending on your memory. It supports MP4 videos and also 3GP / H.263 videos.
  • I can play my fave MP3s whenever and whereever I want. With its BOOMBOX feature you can enjoy loud stereo sounds from this phone.
  • Other features includes FM Radio, built-in Java Games (you can install other Java games), Melody Composer, Calendar, Calculator, World Clock, Voice Recorder, Image Editor, Stopwatch, File Manager, Units and Currency Converter, Health Manager, Themes and Power On/Off Timer.
I've known Asus as a dealer of quality PC Hardwares like laptops, motherboards etc. But then they are also good in producing high quality mobile phones. There are new Asus phones that are a lot more better than V66 you can check it out here. All in all its a great mobile phone! I really love my Asus! So far so good!

Job Hunting

Its been 8 months since my last job was but I still don't have a job right now. I have already applied for some companies from Makati and Libis but then I wasn't able to pass the screenings and stuff. Its really hard to find a job right now. Even if you already have a working experience, its not enough for you to be hired easily.

I'm really sad right now because I don't have a job until now. I think I'm loosing my self confidence. I think that everyones moving forward and I'm being left behind. I don't know why is this happening. I have passed some preemployment exams and I think that my interviews are ok. I have good grades when I was in college (no failing grade). But then its not enough for me to be hired by a company.

I am thinking of changing my field of work. I am happy with computer programming but I am happier in the field of web designing. I really enjoyed it a lot. Look at this site. Its my work. Hehe. I really don't know what to do now. I guess its my fate. But I really wish to have a job before Christmas or as soon as possible.
